Planted in Columbia Valley’s Rattlesnake Hills AVA in the small town of Zillah, just south of Yakima. Known for the AVA’s higher elevation, the contrast of high heat during the day, and cool nighttime temps, contribute to the balance of optimal ripeness and fresh acidity. After four-decades in wine, owner, Tom Campbell planted the seven-acre site in 2005 and describes it as a “little slice of grape heaven.” Planting an array of grape varietals, such as Nebbiolo, Carménère and Aglianico.
