RICH • SAVORY • RASPBERRY
83 cases produced. BLEND 12 is a small four-barrel blend. The selection was aggressively focused on mouthfeel and structure. These four barrels were from a small segment that underwent bâtonnage (barrel stirring lees) in the cellar which optimizes a fuller, richer and rounder texture. The lees stirring also results in more savory notes that complement the red fruit flavors derived from clones Dijon 114 & 667, while Pommard provides dark fruit undertones and subtle earthiness. BLEND 12 was partially wholecluster fermented to add even more structure, while building another layer of spice. BLEND 12 is easily one of the most uniquely complex Pinot Noirs from this vintage as well as one of the roundest with regards to mouthfeel. Expect notes of raspberry, black tea & dried tobacco leaf.

Farmed, vinified & bottled by our family to yours. Our estate vineyard is 4.3 planted acres of Pinot Noir. Small, yes, but this allows our family to farm it exclusively- keeping diligent contact with every vine from bud break to harvest.
When it comes to our own vineyard, our goal is to produce the best possible wines we can, while capturing the site's own diversity & distinctiveness. Each year we will produce as many blends to meet these two fundamental requirements. And just as each vintage is different from year to year, each blend we create will be too, and therefore assigned its own individual number- forever cataloging the count of hopefully a long line of uniquely delicious Pinot Noirs for years to come.
